Current Fellows

By choosing from the menu on the left, you will find information pertinent to the EAPSI 2010 cohort. This section will be updated on a regular basis during the summer of your EAPSI tenure to ensure that all EAPSI fellows are informed and updated on important program announcements and/or news.

 Current International Travel Alerts

The U.S. Department of State's Office of American Citizens Services and Crisis Management (ACS) administers the Consular Information Program, which informs the public of conditions abroad that may affect their safety and security. Please see Country Specific Information, Travel Alerts, and Travel Warnings for all EAPSI destinations.

 Making Travel Arrangements 

The NSF-contracted travel agency, SATO Travel, will provide EAPSI participants with a round-trip economy class ticket between the major airport nearest their U.S. city of residence and the designated international airport in their overseas location (i.e., Australia, China, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, or Taiwan). To make travel arrangements, participants should contact SATO by phone at 1-800-817-5257. All EAPSI awardees will identify themselves to SATO by referring to the TX number (sent via email) corresponding to their location.

Please be advised that SATO will accept collect calls from overseas 24/7. The collect call numbers are 210-877-3219, or 210-877-3255.

Please note that all tickets MUST be issued by SATO.

 Registration with Embassies

EAPSI participants are strongly encouraged to register with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs and record information about their upcoming trip abroad.  The U.S. Department of State can use this information to assist individuals in case of an emergency. Americans residing abroad also get routine information from the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.  See Travel Registration for details on how to record your visit abroad.
