You’ve probably been to countless times. You’ve probably considered it as one of the most helpful search engine available online. Then the “I’m Feeling Lucky” is not new to you. You’ve seen it in the Google homepage. You may have tried it once or twice.

There’s no doubt, the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button can make your search more enjoyable.

How It Works

Since the dawn of Google, the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button has been there. Is this feature from Google an option to kill boredom? Well, it could be. But the sole purpose of the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button is that you could bypass the search result page of Google. You are then directed automatically to the site of the top search result found by Google. It can be put this way. It’s the most convenient option for all web users. Time is cut in a few microseconds.

How It Boosts Google’s Overall Status

What many people don’t know is that it costs Google millions of dollars to provide you with this particular feature. Any sensible business owner would think about getting rid of the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button. Google is completely missing out on huge opportunities for increase in revenue. But how come they never bothered to take down the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button?

There are different buttons you could choose from. “I’m Feeling Trendy”, “I’m Feeling Stellar”, “I’m Feeling Wonderful”, “I’m Feeling Doodly”, “I’m Feeling Puzzled”, “I’m Feeling Hungry” and “I’m Feeling Artistic” button are some choices available. These are not just statements that could break monotony.

These are statements that translate to other Google products. Some products include Hot Trends, Google Doodles, Google Earth, etc. Make sure to click on the cursor of your chosen button right away. Otherwise, you might end up in a different Google property. It may not be user-friendly but it could lead web users to unexpected sites and Google products.
